Our Daily Prayer...

Father, this is the day you have ordained for me (Ps 118:24 & 139:16) to live the life of Jesus Christ.  Fully aware that this day could be me last.  I rise today with breath in my nostrils and the beat of my heart because you have ordained it so.  Father, help me today to believe, live and fulfill the purpose liven life - to seek, know and love you more, to love, commit myself to and grow with the family of believers, to become more like Christ today in thought, word and deed, to help your church minister to all the needs of the saints, and to reach the people in my world, who are apart from Jesus Christ.  in His holy name I pray.  Amen

  • Wednesday evening Prayer meetings at 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday afternoon Men's Prayer meetings at 2:00 pm

Nothing is more important for the church and her people than prayer. Jesus said, in Matthew 7:7
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Philippians 4:6,7 tells us to
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Then, the apostle Paul writes in I Timothy 2:1,2 as follows:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

The pastors and other members take seriously the privilege and obligation to pray. We have prayer chains that go in to action whenever a need is made known. We have men’s prayer every
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at our church home (308 S. 5th St.). And we conduct a mid-week prayer service every Wednesday night at 8:15 p.m., also at our church home. You are welcome to join us for prayer and to share with us the needs and concerns you are facing so that we may bring them before our loving and all-powerful God!

More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. Tennyson

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy. Philippians 1:3,4
